NIGHT SIGHTS
Berlin sightseeing? How about some sight running!
We want the city all to ourselves, just for once, so this run is at night. Everything looks fantastic when people have left and the street lights are casting shadows. So let’s go! Starting from Oranienburger Tor, head down to the Bode-Museum. Go around the corner, passing James-Simon-Galerie and Kolonnadenhof to the Berliner Dom. Then it’s through the Humboldt Forum, passing by the Schinkel Pavillon before crossing over the street and heading past the lovely glass staircase by the Deutsches Historisches Museum. So far you’ve seen at least a dozen Berlin icons in as many minutes. Then it’s time for the final sprint: down Unter den Linden. If there’s a more iconic running route, we’ve yet to see it…
New York, San Francisco and Frankfurt already trust the workout hype. For good reason: Barry’s red-lit exercise rooms easily rival Berlin’s nightlife.
